Essential Career & Employability Skills Lab


This HRD lab is a one-stop-shop for job seekers. Assistance is provided with job applications, job searches, resumes, cover letters and much more. Instruction is designed to be self-directed, self-paced, and structured on an open-entry, open-exit basis to meet the customized needs of individuals and/or partner agencies.  Attending students have the option to earn a nationally recognized WorkKeys Career Readiness Certificate that helps them stand out in a crowd of job applicants.

FREE to those who meet any one of the following four criteria:

  • You are currently unemployed

  • You have received notification of a pending layoff

  • You are working and eligible for the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit

  • You are working and earn wages at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines
